St. Louis has opened an eight-game lead in the NL Central and the Cardinals are 47-24 at home while the Brewers are 36-39 on the road. Jordan Montgomery has been one of the main reasons for the Cards' success as they have won all seven of his starts since he arrived from the Yankees in early August. Montgomery has allowed more than one run just once, including his outing when he gave up a run on three hits in 6 2/3 innings against Washington on Wednesday. The left-hander has faced Milwaukee once this year and pitched six scoreless innings on four hits. Matt Bush is scheduled to start for the Brewers in what figures to be a bullpen game and he may only go a couple innings. St. Louis is 23-7 with a posted total of 7.0-8.5 and it has won eight of 10 against teams with winning records. Put a Max Play on the Cardinals.
