Milwaukee at St. Louis

This series once looked to be division changing, but that has changed with the Brewers 9.5 game lead. The Brewers’ "home only" numbers indicate a fair line here, however, looking closer shows the Brew Crew has grown up as the season blossoms into the September final run. The Brewers are four games under the .500 mark, and give the appearance of failure away from Milwaukee, and a fair line, but they have been 13-3 in their last 16 on the road, including a series win their last time in St. Louis. Randy Wolf carries a more than respectable 3.58 ERA into this one, good enough to put one in the win column for Milwaukee in six of his last seven starts. Jake Westbrook has not helped fill the void left behind by a season long injury to Adam Wainwright, as he has his worst ERA since 2002. The Brewers have been a scorching 23-6 after a win in their last 29 facing a Cardinals team beyond life support, and are actually playing better on the road. That opens a real opportunity for a Milwaukee team, now 21-10 in their last 31 played in St. Louis for some doggie dough! Take Milwaukee.
