Milwaukee at Pittsburgh

Milwaukee split a doubleheader with the Pirates on Saturday, taking the second game, 6-0, which featured a pinch-hit two-run homer by Rowdy Tellez, and Pittsburgh was held to four hits. The Pirates have lost nine of their past 10 games and are only 24-34 at home this season. Eric Lauer goes for the Brewers today, and he comes off five shutout innings on three hits against Pittsburgh on August 2. Lauer also has pitched well in day games with a 2.22 ERA and a .184 opponent batting average in 24 1/3 innings. He has allowed only two runs in 14 1/3 innings versus the Pirates in 2021. Dillon Peters will make his second start for the Pirates after giving up four runs (three earned) in 1 2/3 innings in his first one. Milwaukee has also won 35 of the past 51 meetings.
