Wahooo! The Royals are on fire and we've benefited. I'm gonna stay on this train at least one more night. Can you believe KC has won four straight games? Well, really not that surprising given that three of those came against a terrible road opponent in Pittsburgh. But, in a scheduling dream for the Royals, they now face the next worst road opponent possible. Yes, after taking on Pittsburgh (worst in the majors on the road), they get Milwuakee. With KC themselves thrown in the mix, we have the three worst road teams in baseball. The Brew Crew are 11-20 away from home this season yet find themselves favored here. Smells like value again on the hot home team. KC is riding momentum and yes, a little confidence. A victory today gives them a season high win streak and they want it. Well, for the third worst road team in baseball to be a favorite, they must have a big pitching advantage, right? No! Dave Bush goes for Milwaukee and he's got a 7.14 road ERA and is winless in four tries. Countering is Bob Keppel who has posted a solid overall 3.91 ERA for the Royals. After last night's win, the Royals are now 8-1 over the past two seasons following a 10+ run performance and that situation lines up again tonight after their 15 run performance last night. Overall, MLB home teams (allowing 5.2 or more runs per game after a combined score of 15 runs or more are 60-31 (66%) over the last 5 seasons. Milwaukee is 6-13 vs. losing teams this year so why expect anything different tonight? Great home dog value here.
