The Milwaukee Brewers will get a look at Christian Friedrich this afternoon as they take on the Rockies. The oddsmakers have posted a very high total here for this one at 11. There has been a dramatic decline in high totals over the past five years, as we come out of the steroid era. This will be just the fourth time this season that we have seen a total posted at 11 or higher, and the first three have failed to make it over the top. These teams played a slugfest last night in a game that saw 23 runs produced, so the oddsmakers are on the bandwagon. Milwaukee is a bit over-rated now, as they opened the season at 20-7, but have been just two games over .500 since. This has never been the forte for the Brew Crew who stand at 17-35 when the posted total is 11 or higher in their last 52, including a woeful 7-19 in their last 26 on the road. It's hasn't been the sweet spot for Peralta either, who is 0-6 when his opponent allowed 5+ runs in their previous game. The Rockies have flexed their muscles at home vs. a team with a road winning percentage greater than .600 where they have collected 14 wins in their last 20. The Brewers are riding an 11-3 mark to the UNDER in Peralta's last 14 starts vs. a losing team, while the Rockies have seen just two of their last nine, when posted as a home dog, get OVER the total. The Brewers are an icy 16-37 in their last 53 in Colorado seals it. Play on Colorado and the UNDER.
