The Brewers got off to a great start then slid through much of the season. But since dipping to below .500 for the first time, the Brewers have righted the ship, and have gone 13-7 over their last 20. That is due in large part to the pitching of Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo has not allowed a run in three consecutive starts, and is really in the zone right now, and has not allowed any in four of his last six. The Brew Crew staff has allowed just 15 runs over their last seven games, so the pen has been cooking too. John Smoltz has had a John Smoltz season once again for the Braves. The problem is the Braves just don't score enough. The Braves are just 3-11 in games he starts when they produce three runs or less, and the Braves are just 2-34 over their last 36 scoring three or less. The way Gallardo is pitching, it may be difficult for the Braves to make it to four in this one, and that says Milwaukee has a great chance to cash in as a dog.
