A pivotal Game 4: the Brewers wrap it up or Arizona stays alive. That means both managers are going to lean on their best arms. And with the 8-1 blowout last night, both teams have their best bullpen arms available. And both starters are reliable. Get southpaw Randy Wolf away from Miller Park and the lefty is tougher, allowing 14 homers at home, nine on the road where opponents hit .262 off him. The Brewers are 9-3 in Wolf's last 12 starts. Arizona's Joe Saunders was much stronger on the road this season, as the soft throwing lefty struggles indoors. He's 3-6 with a 4.42 ERA at home. The Diamondbacks are 1-4 in Saunders' last five starts versus a team with a winning record and 1-4 in their last five games vs. a left-handed starter. The Brewers are also 37-14 in their last 51 games against a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and the better team, at 44-18 in their last 62 overall. Despite what happened yesterday, Milwaukee has owned this series: The Brewers are 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in Arizona. The UNDER is 7-1-3 in the Brewers last 11 road games and Wolf is 7-0-1 UNDER the total in his last eight road starts with the total set at 9.0-10.5. The UNDER is 20-8-1 in Wolf's last 29 starts overall and 16-5 UNDER the total in his last 21 starts as an underdog. Arizona is not as sharp offensively against lefties and the UNDER is 12-5 in the Diamondbacks last 17 home games against a left-handed starter, plus the UNDER is 4-1-1 in the last six meetings between these teams in Arizona. Two plays for this one: Play the Brewers and Play the Brewers/Diamondbacks Game 4 UNDER the total.
