The Florida Marlins may never catch the Phillies in the NL East, but this team has turned the corner with a decent lineup and excellent starting pitching. The Marlins won a 6-5 thriller here last night and send Anibel Sanchez to the hill this afternoon. Sanchez had one bad start in Houston, but has been superb otherwise, allowing a total of 10 runs in his six other starts. Livan Hernandez, normally a quick starter that fades in the second half, is struggling as the Nats are just 2-5 in his seven starts. The Marlins are making hay on the road vs. losing teams where they are 16-6 in their last 22. Hernandez isn’t good with extra rest with the Nats at 3-8 in his last 11 starts on five days of rest. The Marlins are a perfect 5-0 behind Sanchez in his last five starts against the Nats. Play on Florida here.
