The Nationals send Max Scherzer to the mound tonight, and they have won seven of his last nine starts, including 6-2 over the Giants on August 13 when he allowed two runs on five hits in seven innings. Scherzer took some time off due to neck tightness, and this will be his first appearance in two weeks. The right-hander has faced Miami three times this season and given up only two earned runs in 16 innings. The Nationals have won the opener seven of the last eight series played overall this season, and they have won Scherzer's last five home starts and 35 of his last 51 starts overall.
