Miami at Washington

The Washington Nationals are running out of time to make a playoff run, but they do have a good opportunity at home vs. the lowly Miami Marlins. Miami is now a woeful 48-75 on the season. Washington held serve last night to open the three-game set with a comfortable 8-2 win, and they know they have to sweep this series to gain some mojo and make a run. The Marlins are off a poor homestand, and have started their road trip off at 0-5 where they have been out-scored 38-12. This is a golden opportunity for the Nationals. Washington owns a 14-3 record in the last 17 meetings at home, including 9-1 in the last 10 where the Nationals have averaged over eight runs a contest. Take Washington.
