Miami at Washington

A lot of what the oddsmakers are doing is predicated on last season, as the Marlins were certainly going nowhere after ditching all their big contracts and going with a youth movement this year. They certainly took their lumps, but there is a lot of superior young talent on the roster, and the Marlins should take a step forward this season, and at this point they are still playing to last year's lines. Tom Koehler earned a spot in the rotation by pitching to a nifty 1.50 ERA this spring over 18 innings of work, and is 1-0 to start the season. Stephen Strasburg has not hit his stride yet and has struggled. Right now the Marlins are producing 5.4 runs per game, and worth a look here as a huge dog. Make the play on Miami.
