Miami at Toronto

Miami had an exhausting win last night as it defeated Minnesota 8-6 in 13 innings while using eight pitchers. It was the last meaningful game for the Marlins as it had affected the wild-card race and now they head to Toronto having already lost 100 games this season. The Marlins have lost seven of their past eight Friday games and will start Adam Oller, who is 1-4 with a 5.06 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. Miami has lost Oller's past five starts and Toronto has won eight of Jose Berrios' past nine starts after allowing two or fewer runs its previous game. Berrios has allowed only five earned runs his past 32 2/3 innings and he is 10-2 with a 2.69 ERA at home in 2024. The Marlins have lost 11 of 16 overall and they are 29-49 on the road.
