The Miami Marlins stacked the roster for the opening of their new Stadium a year ago, which went bust. They cleaned house, and are now fielding a team that would have trouble competing in AAA. The Marlins present pace of 13-38 translates to 121 losses over a full season, and they are simply not competitive. Kevin Slowey has pitched over his head, but is still just 1-5, and his 6.75 career ERA vs. Tampa Bay, doesn't appear to be enough here to keep the Marlins in striking distance on the road.
