Last season the San Francisco Giants won it all, but have been a pedestrian team this season at 37-34. The wins they have gotten have not been easy. Over their last 32 games they would be 10-22 if giving 1.5 runs to their opponent - certainly not pretty. Chad Gaudin allowed 4 runs in his last start, and is a converted reliever filling a starter's role. The Marlins' offense has not been good for most of the season, but lately they have been able to find more after a bad offensive showing, winners of four out of their last five after plating 2 or less in their previous game. The Giants find problems with an opponent that scored 2 or less in their previous game, where they are 0-5 in their last five. The Marlins hang tough here, so play Miami on the run line.
