Some things just defy logic. The San Diego Padres had not scored more than 6 runs in any game this season. That changed last night when they put up 10 vs. what has arguably been the best pitcher in baseball over the last year in Jose Fernandez. The Padres should get a big lift and the offense as well, as they take on an improved Miami team that has been dealing aces at home at 17-5, but the road has been an entirely different story at 3-11. Miami's young team has had road woes for quite some time at 29-75 in their last 104 roadies, and the role of a favorite shows them at 0-6 on the road in their last six. The Padres are an impressive 16-5 in Stultz's last 21 trips to the mound at home, and get another one tonight. Play on San Diego.
