The Marlins took advantage of a 5-run first inning eruption to win a shootout here yesterday 9-8. I'm not fooled by either team's production as the offenses have been struggling all season, especially Miami on the road. The Marlins’ last 10 road games prior to last night saw them scoring a grand total of 15 runs, or 1.5 per contest. The Padres’ offense has struggled the entire season and has already produced 16 games where they have scored 3 runs or less. A pair of competent lefthanders duel it out tonight and I don't expect a repeat of last night's rare scoring barrage. Miami’s offensive struggles have led them to a 20-8 UNDER mark in their last 28 road tilts, while the Padres have failed to top the total in Richard's last six starts vs. the NL East. Play on the UNDER.
