Don't laugh at the Phillies! Philadelphia has had a good late season run, winning four in a row and five of six. The Phillies kept the rival New York Mets from clinching home-field advantage in their first-round playoff series with a three-game sweep to begin the week. The future looks bright after a 3-0 win on Thursday, when rookie Jerad Eickhoff struck out 10 in seven innings and Darin Ruf clubbed a two-run homer. Now they play a double-header against a Miami team that is on the road winding down a lost season. Miami is 0-6 on the road and 1-6 in the opening game of a double-header. In game one they go with Tom Koehler (11-14, 4.00 ERA), who has allowed eight runs, 16 hits and eight walks his last 11+ innings (two starts). He recently lost to Philadelphia, surrendering four runs in five innings of a 6-2 defeat. The Marlins are 1-4 in his last five road starts, and for the season he's 5-9 on the road with a 4.70 ERA. Miami is terrible on offense, #29 in baseball in runs scored, #23 in OBP and #27 in slugging. That will help Phillies starter Aaron Harang, who has put together a solid stretch drive with three earned runs or fewer allowed in each of his last three starts. The Phillies are 3-0 his last three starts and 5-2 his last seven. He sports a 2.57 ERA in 14 innings against the punchless Marlins this season as well. Philly is on an 8-3 run against Miami, with the Marlins 16-35 in the last 51 meetings in Philadelphia. Take Philadelphia with Harang in game one.
