Yet another rebuilding job by Oakland is starting to pay off as the Athletics have won four in a row and they have allowed only three runs their past three games, including a 4-0 victory over Pittsburgh on Wednesday. The bullpen has nine saves with a 2.45 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP and JP Sears will start tonight's game. Sears had three good outings in a row before being roughed up by Baltimore his last start. This will be just his second start at home and he allowed one run on two hits in five innings against St. Louis in the other one. Miami is 1-13 against left-handed starters this season and 4-9 overall on the road. Ryan Weathers has given up 17 runs (15 earned) on 29 hits in 29 2/3 innings. Weathers allowed six runs in four innings in a 12-9 loss to Washington on Sunday. Miami's bullpen has only five saves and a 1.46 WHIP. Take the Athletics as a Max Play.
