Last place Miami has lost three in a row and five of their last six. But, at least they've given starter Ricky Nolasco (12-12, 4.42 ERA) six days of rest! Well, it's not really a good thing as the Marlins are 1-5 in Nolasco's last six starts with six days of rest, in addition to being 0-4 in his last four starts against the Mets. This team is 20 games below .500 with an offense that is 27th in runs scored, and 24th in slugging and OBP. He's 5-8 with a 5.28 ERA against the Mets, including a 5.40 ERA in two starts this season against them. The Marlins are 9-21 in their last 30 road games vs. a right-handed starter and 9-23 against the National League East. NY starter Chris Young has allowed 3, 2 and 1 run his last three starts and the Mets are 5-1 against a team with a losing record. There's extra incentive for Young today, as well: It is his 18th start and his base salary is $1.1 million so he will earn a $150K bonus by making today's start. This bonus is on top of the $425K in bonuses for innings pitched and $750K in bonuses for games started. The Marlins are 2-8 in the last ten meetings in New York, as well as 0-6 in the last six meetings overall, so grab home field. Play the NY Mets!
