The New York Mets are getting comfortable in their new ballpark as they have won three straight, and nine of 11. They will start Mike Pelphrey, who has really pitched well after a shaky start. Pelphrey has a 3.32 ERA over his last six starts, where the Mets have gone 5-1. He has not allowed more than three runs in any of them. Sean West gets the ball for Florida, who has pitched well in his brief MLB career, but the Mets will be the most potent lineup he has faced. West gave up four walks in five innings, and last year, in 100 minor league innings, he walked 60! He definitely has location issues, and I expect the Mets to get favorable counts here, as they are crushing lefties to the tune of 6.2 runs per game. The Marlins, after a big start, are just 11-25 over their last 36. The Mets get the call here.
