The Houston Astros lost 106 games a year ago, and rarely did they play in the role of a favorite. They will be in that role for the second time in five games tonight vs. Miami. The Marlins spent a lot of money in the offseason trying to build a contender, but the early reviews have been much less than anticipated. Their offense has been problematic on the road where they have generated just 33 runs in their last 13 games, or about 2.5 per contest. Houston is much better than advertised, especially at home, and especially with Wandy Rodriguez on the mound. Rodriguez carries a 1.64 ERA into this game, and has run his streak to 12 straight starts without allowing more than 3 runs, and the Stros have won each of his last three. The Marlins are just 12-25 in their last 37 vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of less than 1.15, as well as just 15-37 in their last 52 as a dog. Play on Houston.
