Miami at Detroit

Miami suddenly has won five in a row and the Marlins are doing it with great pitching as they have allowed a total of only seven runs their last four games. Of course, some of that has to do with the weak lineups of the Mets and Tigers. Garrett Cooper hit his first Major League home run and the Marlins erased a three-run deficit in a 6-3 victory at Detroit on Wednesday night. The Tigers have gone into a tailspin losing eight in a row and while scoring only 19 runs in that span. Trevor Richards comes off his first win of the season while giving up three runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings against the Mets. Detroit has lost Matt Boyd's last two starts and the Tigers are 1-10 their last 11 home games. Also, the Tigers have lost eight straight home contests versus right-handed starters. Play the Marlins.
