In anticipation of their new stadium opening this season, the Miami Marlins wanted to open it with a bang. They went out and spent a lot of money to bolster their lineup, and rotation to make some noise in the NL East, but the moves were a bust, and they have not been in contention all season. One of their biggest problems has been scoring runs, especially on the road. The Marlins’ road struggles have been in large part due to the lack of offense, as they have scored 3 runs or less in 31 of their 58 road games. The Rockies are batting over .300 at home and should get some good looks against Ricky Nolasco and his 4.90 ERA. Alex White is no bargain either for the Rockies, but they simply have more bats and are playing at home for a decided edge. Miami has been 5-16 in their last 21 on the road vs. a right-hander, and are just 1-4 here in their last five. Play on Colorado.
