Josh Johnson went on a run that every pitcher dreams of. He went through a stretch of 13 games where he allowed just 8 total runs. It is impossible for any pitcher to sustain that pace. We saw something similar earlier in the year with Ubaldo Jimenez, and he went bad. Now I expect Josh Johnson to follow, and it has started. He has now allowed more runs in his last three starts than he did the previous 13, pitching to a 4.35 ERA. Edinson Volquez is heading the other way. After struggling, he is back on track and has allowed just 2 runs in his last two starts. Johnson has been good, but despite that, the Marlins are just 3-7 in his last 10 road starts. I'll go with Cincinnati here.
