Joe Johnson has developed into a primetime pitcher. The Marlins ace is mowing down hitters with relative ease, but there is an inherant problem. Johnson has spent a lot of his career on the disabled list and the Marlins are very cautious with his inningsand most of the time is not allowed to go more than 100 pitches. The problem is in the 11.2 innings of relief he has needed this season, opponents have tagged the bullpen for seven runs. He has not been as effective on he road, with the Marlins just 4-9 in his last 13 road starts and just 5-15 when he is on extra rest (five days). Volquez has stopped the bleeding as he has posted an 18-4 mark in his last 22 starts following a Red's loss. I like Cincinnati in this one.
