A lot was expected from Miami a year ago, as they opened a new stadium and stacked the lineup and rotation with pricey free agents. It never came together, and most of those stars are gone now. As a result, the expectations have diminished greatly. What they do have is 20-year-old Jose Fernandez who went 14-1 in Class A a year ago, and has baffled big league hitters in much the same fashion thus far. Fernandez has worked 11 innings allowing 1 run and just five hits, while striking out 13. The Reds have not fared well vs. right-handed pitching either, as they are just 1-4 in their last five when facing them. Fernandez offers value here as a chunky road dog, so play on Miami.
