Miami at Chicago

Chicago is in a bad scheduling situation having played nine road games in a row on a Western swing in a 10-day span before finally coming home for tonight's game. Miami will start A.J. Puk, who will likely go four or five innings. Jameson Taillon will make his first appearance for the Cubs this season after finishing 8-10 with a 4.84 ERA in 2023. Taillon was activated from the injured list after recovering from a back injury. Chicago has lost four straight versus NL East opponents and although the Marlins lost two of three at San Francisco, their pitching has improved as they allowed a total of 10 runs in the series. Taillon was only 4-6 with a 4.62 at home last year. Take the Marlins.
