The problem is that this team has been prone to some offensive slumps and pitching that has been less than anticipated. The Marlins are in the midst of one of those slumps once again, as they are just 2-11 in their last 13 games. They have been shutout three times in this stretch while generating exactly 2 runs per contest. The Red Sox have won three straight and five of their last six to move over the .500 mark and have things going now. The Marlins are a surprisingly sub-standard 1-10 in their last 11 vs. a pitcher with a WHIP of greater than 1.30.
