The Miami Marlins dumped all their high priced free agents last year, that they brought in to open their new stadium two years ago. That did not work out, and the Marlins have gone with youth. They took their lumps a year ago, but have gained experience, and have some impressive young arms to work with. Miami certainly has made some progress at 10-11 after a disastrous 2013 season. The Braves were shutout here last night, and another pitcher's duel should take place with Nathan Eovaldi squaring off against Aaron Harang. The Braves are slumping at the plate, and Eovaldi has mastered their lineup, as he has blanked Atlanta in 15 innings of work against them while striking out 14. This game very well may come down to a low-scoring game late, and the Marlins' closer Steve Cishek has converted 33 straight save opportunities. The Marlins are 7-3 in their last 10 after allowing 2 or fewer runs in their previous game, and just four of Eovaldi's last 17 starts have made it over the total. The Marlins are 9-1- to the UNDER in their last 11 games after allowing 2 runs or fewer in their previous game. The Braves come into this contest at 42-18-3 to the UNDER in their last 63 with a posted total from 7 to 8.5 and these clubs have topped the total just one time in their last seven meetings.
