Miami at Arizona

Miami has won seven of nine as it tries to dig itself out of a hole it created by getting off to a horrible start this season. Braxton Garrett pitched a four-hit shutout on Friday to beat the Diamondbacks 3-0. Otto Lopez went 2-for-3 with a two-run single and the Marlins won for the sixth time in the past eight meetings with Arizona. The Marlins have been getting some great pitching performances as they have five shutouts their past nine games. Miami has won five of six after allowing two or fewer runs its previous game and the Diamondbacks have lost their past five Saturday games. Jordan Montgomery has a 4.98 ERA and the Diamondbacks are just 12-14 at home. Things are evening out for Arizona after it overachieved in 2023 when it made the World Series. Take the Marlins.
