Los Angeles at Washington

The Washington Nationals sure had plenty of opportunities last night, but they simply could not come up with the big hit, scoring just twice on nine hits in a tough 3-2 loss. They have the right guy on the mound for this one in Gio Gonzalez. Gonzalez is 7-3 and backed by a 3.03 ERA, but over his last four starts, he has been very crisp allowing a total of six runs. Gonzalez has dominated the NL West, where the Nats are a perfect 7-0 in his last seven starts against them, and they also own a 37-16 mark in his last 53 starts overall. Dodgers have not been good on the road, and they carry their biggest baggage into this one, as they are a disturbing 1-8 in their last nine on the road vs. a left handed starter, and they take on a good one today.
