The Los Angeles Dodgers stayed alive with a game five win, and the series shifts to St. Louis for game six with the Dodgers trailing three games to two. The Cardinals have to be a bit weak in the knees, having been here at this same place a year ago in the NLCS, when they squandered the same 3-1 series lead. LA has to feel good about game six, as they have Clayton Kershaw on the mound - the NL's leading Cy Young candidate. The Dodgers slugged 4 HRs in game five, and appear to be heating up at the right time. Kershaw allowed just 1 unearned run on 2 hits in game two. The pitching matchup looks about even, but right now the Dodgers appear to be the team swinging the bats better, and they are 52-20 in their last 72 vs. a right-handed pitcher, including 28-11 on the road. St. Louis has been 1-5 when Gibson dons the mask as the home plate umpire. Make the play on the Dodgers to even the series.
