Under ordinary circumstances, the San Francisco Giants would probably roll over and play dead here. They will not be defending their World Series win from last season, but can make life miserable for their division rival LA Dodgers, who trail the Mets by two games for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. They have a tall order tonight in going against Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw went seven consecutive outings allowing two or fewer runs, but has been hittable in his last two, allowing three runs in each. Madison Bumgarner has been every bit of Kershaw's equal, and with a win here, he still has a shot at a 20-win season as he will likely get a turn on Sunday, if he wins. The Dodgers are an ugly 2-9 in their last 11 on the road vs. a winning team, while the Giants sit at 7-0 at home behind Bumgarner vs. a winning team in his last seven. Back the home dog Giants.
