Clayton Kershaw has been dominating hitters all season. He did get touched up for three runs in seven innings his last start, representing as many runs as he gave up in his previous seven starts combined. Those are unsustainable numbers, and I think the three runs he allowed last game is part of a correction he will face going forward. The Giants offense was limping going into the All-Star break, and over a 19 game stretch scored a grand total of 41 runs, just over two a game. They have gotten things back in order on offense and have produced 45 runs over their last nine, at five per contest. Ryan Vogelsong has been a much better pitcher at home where he owns a 3.12 ERA on the season, and Los Angeles is just 1-4 in Kershaw's last five starts after allowing 5+ runs in their previous game. Make the play on San Francisco.
