Los Angeles at San Diego

The San Diego Padres made some offseason moves that they thought would bolster both the pitching and hitting, but they have had a disappointing season. They have started to look at some young players, and some of them have been swinging the bat really well. The Dodgers had a hole at the bottom of their rotation, and decided Matt Latos would be a good candidate to fill it. However, at 4-9 on the season with a 4.76 ERA, he has not been the right guy. Since they acquired him he is even worse. Covering four starts, Latos is 0-2 with a sky-high 6.05 ERA. The Dodgers are just 3-8 in their last 11 on the road, including 1-5 against right-handers. San Diego has put together a 5-1 run at home vs. a team that has a losing road record in their last six. Back the home dog Padres.
