Los Angeles at San Diego

Los Angeles is on the ropes as its hitting has all but disappeared and the Padres are riding a wave of great pitching while the Dodgers managed only six hits in Game Three while losing 2-1. San Diego left 10 men on base and still managed to pull out a victory and it has Joe Musgrove starting tonight and he has not allowed a run his last three starts in 18 innings pitched, including a gem in the clinching game against the Mets on Sunday. Musgrove had a 2.86 ERA at home this season and being from the San Diego area he will be fired up to win this one. Also, San Diego's bullpen did not give up a run last night and Josh Hader is doing what the Padres expected him to do when they acquired him earlier this season. The Dodgers have lost their last four playoff road games and the Padres gained some momentum while winning the wild card series while the Dodgers were waiting it out and their hitters apparently lost some of their timing.
