Los Angeles at San Diego

San Diego finished 22 games behind Los Angeles in the regular season, but the postseason started with both teams being 0-0 and the Padres have a chance to knock the Dodgers out of the playoffs by winning two more games in this series. The Padres won Game Two 5-3 on Wednesday when Jurickson Profar singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning to offset three homers by the Dodgers. Blake Snell came on strong in the second half of the season for San Diego with an ERA of less than 3.00 each month since July. Snell also has memories of Game Six of the 2020 World Series when he was pitching for Tampa Bay and was nearly unhittable against the Dodgers, but his manager Kevin Cash took him out of the game anyway and the Rays went on to lose the game and the series. Tony Gonsolin had a tremendous year for Los Angeles, but he hasn't pitched in 11 days. San Diego is 17-4 following a off day. Take the Padres.
