The Los Angeles Dodgers got an impressive win in San Diego yesterday as Zack Greinke threw eight innings, a 6-1 win. Wins like that are important as it gives the bullpen rest, making them stronger over time with less use. San Diego had only five hits and made two errors on an offense that ranks 19th in batting average, 17th in on base percentage, and 20th in slugging. Los Angeles has another quality veteran arm going today in Chris Capuano, who doesn't walk anyone (13 free passes in 39 innings), and has allowed 40 hits. Capuano limited the Yankees to three hits in six shutout innings in his last start. Capuano did not walk a batter and struck out four. He threw 51 of 84 pitches for strikes. The Dodgers are 6-2 in Capuano's last eight Sunday get-away-day starts. Los Angeles is good at drawing walks to get guys on base, and San Diego starter Andrew Cashner has thrown 12 innings against the Dodgers and walked 12 batters! The Padres are also 1-4 in their last five games with Marty Foster behind home plate, so grab the underdog visitors. Play the Los Angeles Dodgers.
