The San Diego Padres have played themselves out of the race in the NL West and are trying to hold on to any Wild Card hopes. They are now 14 games behind the division-leading Giants. The Dodgers have played well and have stayed in touch with the Giants. Anytime you hand the ball off to Blake Snell good things can happen. Opponents have scored a total of 13 runs in 7 of his last eight starts which is less than two per contest. While the Padres are slumping getting them at home should have them chomping at the bit to get the win, and with Snell, on the hill, I like their chances. Make the play on San Diego.
