Justin Germano is a career 8-13 pitcher and his numbers against the Dodgers are horrible as he stands 0-4 with a 7.59 ERA. He has allowed two base runners per inning in his work against the Dodgers. Germano got out of the gate quickly last season, but the league caught up to him. He was 5-0 in his first five decisions, but the Padres were just 4-15 in his last 19 starts. Hiroki Kuroda makes his debut for the Dodgers. Kuroda finished his spring against the Red Sox, allowing just one walk while striking out six. He has excellent control (40 of 62 pitches for strikes) and great stuff and should put the Dodgers in position to win this one.
