Los Angeles at Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Pirates found some big offense as they evened the series with the Dodgers in a 12-7 slugfest win last night. Pittsburgh has been a strong team at PNC Park this season where they are 33-21. That includes 13-3 in their last 16, and 4-1 on their current home stand. The Dodgers were getting decent work from Dan Haren until July came, and this month Haren has struggled to a 9.64 ERA in his three starts, and has not survived the fifth inning in his last two starts. Liriano has a small but very solid track record against LA where he has allowed 2 runs in 12 innings over two starts. Los Angeles has been getting burned to low totals where they are 2-8 in their last 10 to a total of 7 to 8.5, while the Pirates are now 13-3 in the same total range over their last 16. Go with Pittsburgh.
