Los Angeles erased a five-run deficit and beat the Pirates 8-7 on Tuesday capped by Chris Taylor's go-ahead three-run homer in the eighth inning and it snapped Pittsburgh's six-game win streak. The Dodgers have scored 24 runs their past three games and Tony Gonsolin will make his first start of the season and is expected to pitch four innings as he recovers from an ankle injury. Gonsolin comes off a spectacular 2022 season when he finished 16-1 with a 2.14 ERA with 119 strikeouts and only 35 walks. Roansy Contreras is 2-1 with a 4.57 ERA for the Pirates and in two home starts he has allowed eight runs on 14 hits in 10 innings. The Dodgers have won 40 of their past 55 road games versus right-handed starters and they have won nine of 11 meetings at Pittsburgh.
