Looking back to a year ago, Cole Hamels propelled the Phillies to a World Series Championship. He is not getting the respect early, as he is off an injury and has taken some time to get everything going again. His first two starts were horrible, as he worked the kinks out. He rebuilt his arm strength and is back to being the ace as he has allowed just two total runs in his last two starts, and has a good pedigree against the Dodgers with a career 2.57 ERA. Chad Billingsley has quickly become the ace of the Dodgers’ staff, but his numbers vs. the Phillies reflect some problems as his ERA is almost a run higher than his lifetime ERA. The Dodgers are also averaging almost two runs a game less on the road than they are at home, and now don't have the big right-handed bat in the middle of the lineup to bring up against a lefthander. I'm going with the Phillies in this one.
