Clayton Kershaw started on short rest the last two years in the NLDS and allowed five runs, three of them earned, in 12 innings. Kershaw gave up three runs in 6 1/3 innings in game one of this series. The Dodgers are 0-9 their last nine road games against teams with at least a .600 winning percentage and 0-7 in their last seven playoff road games. Steven Matz is 4-0 with a 2.27 ERA and has allowed three runs in 13 2/3 innings at home. Matz pitched six shutout innings against the Dodgers on July 5. This will be his first playoff appearance.
