The Dodger's talent and payroll dwarfs teams in the NL West, and what looked to be a free ride into the playoffs as the NL West Champion has seen two challengers emerge in Arizona and San Diego. Each team is 9-1 in their last 10 games, and both are now 3.5 games behind the Dodgers. There is one staple for this Dodgers team, and that is pitching. They have held 77 opponents to four or fewer runs, a mark topped by only the Atlanta Braves in the NL. They will turn to Frankie Montas, who seems to be thriving with his new, likely playoff-bound team. After suffering through this season with the Cincinnati Reds, Montas has a new lease on life, winning his first two starts for the Brewers. This looks like a favorable spot for both pitchers, and I will make the play on the UNDER.
