Chicago salvaged a split of a doubleheader on Tuesday when Albert Almora Jr. hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning. The Cubs have Jon Lester going today and he is 8-2 with a 2.28 ERA this season. Lester has allowed more than two runs just once over his last nine starts and the Cubs have won his last four starts and six of his last seven. Chicago is 37-14 in Lester's last 51 home starts and they have won 15 of their last 22 overall. Lester is 3-1 with a 1.49 ERA and .195 opponent batting average at home and he has a 0.90 ERA in three outings in June. Chicago has won nine of its last 13 home games versus teams with winning records and the Cubs have won 22 of Lester's last 27 starts against an opponent that scored two or fewer runs its previous game.
