Los Angeles at Boston

The teams are meeting for the first time since 2019 and Boston is scheduled to start Kutter Crawford, who comes off an excellent performance against the Yankees on Aug. 19 when he allowed only one run on one hit in six innings. Crawford struggled some in June and July, but he has bounced back with a 2.84 ERA and .214 opponent batting average in August while allowing six runs in 19 innings. Lance Lynn has pitched well since being acquired from the Chicago White Sox, but he still is 9-9 with a 5.60 ERA overall this year. The Red Sox have been streaky all season and they have won two straight after demolishing Houston 17-1 last night as Wilyer Abreu went 4-for-5 with a homer, a double and four RBIs. Boston is 35-28 at home and cannot afford many more losses as it is 3.5 games behind for a playoff spot. Take the Red Sox on the runline.
