The Angels have slipped to 4.5 games in back of the Texas Rangers in the AL West. Their playoff hopes are on life support, but if they can get to within three, they will finish at home with three with the Rangers and things could get interesting. The Angles have been getting outstanding pitching as they have held nine of their last 13 opponents to three runs or less. Jerome Williams acquired from Washington, has looked good in his last three appearances with two starts and one in relief. He has pitched to a solid 2.63 ERA in 12.2 innings of work. Ricky Romero is 15-10 for thew Jays with a 3.02 ERA, and has been pitching very well of late. The Angels have gotten wins out of each of William's last four starts and are now 7-2 in their last nine tries vs. a lefthander. The Jays will have to try and overcome a 6-14 mark in their last 20 games after allowing two runs or less, a situation also not embraced by Romero who has the Jays at 3-7 in his last ten in that same situation. These clubs have historically played low with a 49-24-6 mark to the UNDER in their last 79 meetings including 26-12-4 to the UNDER in their last 42 in Toronto. I am on Los Angeles ON THE RUNLINE and the UNDER in this one
