Toronto overcame another Shohei Ohtani home run with three solo homers of its own and defeated the Angels 4-1 on Friday night for the Blue Jays' fourth win in five games. Toronto is 28-20 at home and it has won nine of 12 as a favorite and will send Alek Manoah to the mound today and the Blue Jays won his last start on Sunday when he allowed three runs on three hits in 5 1/3 innings against Seattle. It has not been a good season for Manoah, but the Angel hitters are a combined 5-for-27 for a .185 batting average with one homer against him. Reid Detmers is 2-7 with a 4.38 ERA and Los Angeles lost 3-0 to Pittsburgh his last outing on July 22. The UNDER is 6-2-1 in Toronto's past nine games and the Blue Jays are 8-3-1 UNDER as favorites. Toronto's bullpen is #6 in the majors with a 1.23 WHIP. Ohtani's status is in doubt as he had to leave the last two games due to cramps. Take the Blue Jays and the UNDER.
