Los Angeles at Texas

The Rangers are hotter than the Texas sun right now. They have won 12 of their last 18, and more importantly five of their last six at home. They have averaged 8 runs per game in those six at home. The difference between these teams with the Rangers at home (19-20), and the Angels on the road (22-19), is not as wide as one would think. The Angels have been a dominate home team, but not so great on the road. They are going through a down cycle right now. Jamey Wright will try to build off of two great outings in which he allowed just two runs in each, and a bullpen that has allowed 0 runs in those two starts as well. The Angels are 2-5 in their last seven vs. the likes of KC, Baltimore and Texas and are hitting just .259 while the staff ERA is 5.59 during this stretch. Jered Weaver has been mostly good, but the Angels have lost two of his last three starts. And the pen has allowed an additional 2 runs per game over his last six starts. Teams that stack up pretty evenly record-wise with the Rangers at home, and playing much better, gives the nod to the home team in this one.
